The ACZ7 not only tests the battery's current voltage and power, it comes with voltage drop test during cranking the engine to determine whether the battery has aged. State of charge (SOC), or conversely, the depth of discharge (DOD) can be determined by measuring the voltage and/or the specific gravity of the acid with a hydrometer. This will NOT tell you how good the battery condition is - only a sustained Load Test can do that. It's a new way of measuring the Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) of a Starting Battery and it test a wide variety of 12V batteries: Wet (Flooded), VRLA or Maintenance Free (MF), Sealed Maintenance Free (SMF), Absorption Glass Mat (AGM) and GEL cell.
New Technology:
The ACZ7 uses the battery internal resistance gathered during testing to compute the final results of the battery condition. This process involve by a series of shorting pulse across the battery terminals with resulting drop in the voltage being measured by the microprocessors to compute its final results. A. Battery Condition Test shows results:

3. Battery rating: CCA (Cold Crank Amp)
4. Battery cell: in m Ohm
5. Battery Life Expectancy: in percentage (%)
B. Voltage Drop Test:
To observe the behavior and determine the health of the battery while cranking the engine. These tests are conducted by its built in microprocessor using the latest battery testing technology which will not harm the battery and its results are fast, consistent and accurate.
It tests all types of 12 volts automotive batteries ranging from WET, MF, CMF, AGM and Gel Cell types.
