The Certification combi set ANJ6 contains the ANJ8 and ANJ9:
ANJ8 (Optical Power Meter)
The ANJ8 is a high accuracy, high resolution, microprocessor controlled optical power meter. It has an attractive handheld case, a large color LCD, and 10-key keypad for easy data entry. The universal detector port comes with two adapters: 2.5mm for ST, SC, and FC; and 1.25mm for LC, MU, and other SFF connectors. The length tester port is SC.
The ANJ8 is powered by a lithium polymer re-chargeable battery, and will operate for up to 50 hours of continuous operation, and includes a built-in auto shutdown feature. A length testing port is included for end-to-end fiber optic link length measurements.
The ANJ8 includes a built-in Link Wizard that configures the meter for standards-based fiber link certification. Each fiber run is stored with link name, date of test, cabling standard, fiber type, fiber length, reference value (for up to two wavelengths), reference cable type, connections, splices, and temperature. In addition the meter will store up to 10000 measured data points with labels. The stored information can be selectively viewed, edited (measured again), printed, or deleted. All stored is downloaded through the USB port to our free OWLView certification software.
ANJ9 (Light source)
The ANJ9 provides the fiber optic professional with a wide range of options for their testing needs. The ANJ9 comes configured with your choice of multimode and/or single-mode sources. Multimode only and single-mode only sources also have the option of having a Visual Fault Locator (VFL). It also provides high output and stability at an economical price. The ANJ9 provide temperature- compensated outputs, and have an intuitive 4-button interface with controls for power, transmission mode, wavelength, and auto-test mode. LED indicators highlight the selected source and verify that battery power is sufficient to maintain the calibrated output power. When used with a Power meter, the auto-test function of the Source will allow auto-wavelength switching and auto-storage of test points, saving valuable test time. Helpful diagrams on the screen prompt the user to connect the tester to the link as shown, and text-based help screens are available in case users have questions in the field.
Affordability
The ANJ6 certifier is a fraction of the cost of bulky over-priced certifiers, saving cost-conscious technicians and installers thousands of dollars that could be better used elsewhere.
Small, compact size
At nearly a third of the size and weight as compared to much bulkier ultra-expensive certifiers on the market, ANJ6 certifiers is truly hand-held pocket-sized devices that can be operated in one hand.
